Gillbanks - "Nerve" (video) (premiere)

The London artist blends two disparate sounds from the 1990s, creating a contemporary hybrid.

London singer-songwriter Sam Gillbanks, who performs under the name Gillbanks, is set to release his new EP Lend Me Your Skin on 27 November, and as you can hear on the new video for the track "Nerve", he achieves an hypnotic blend of dreamy, bombastic Britpop and downcast grunge.

"The power of seeing 'Nerve' go through its peaks and troughs inspires the artist in me," he says about the colorful video. "[Director] Charlie Hawley can only do wonders. Sorry if you're color blind."
