Happy Fangs – “Controlled Burn” (video) (premiere)

"Controlled Burn" shows off Happy Fangs' heavy rocking sounds that are equally influenced by punk and metal.

San Francisco rockers Happy Fangs recently released their debut album, Capricorn, and they have a brand new video directed by Jim Mitchell, who has worked on films such as Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, and two Harry Potter movies. So, “Controlled Burn” possesses highly cinematic qualities, as well as showing off the band’s heavy rocking sounds that are equally influenced by punk and metal.

Happy Fangs says that “‘Controlled Burn’ was the first song we wrote as a trio for our album Capricorn. This was us finding our own sound that ended up living somewhere between Black Sabbath and X-Ray Spex. Writing this song helped us define our voice in mixing heavy, hooky and vulnerable sounds that we felt really lived up to the name Happy Fangs.”
