Honeymoon Disease - 'The Transcendence' (album stream) (premiere)

The Swedish band comes through with a searing new album. 'Scuse the pun.

We're not exactly sure why a band would want to name itself after a bacterial infection of the urethra, but hey, good band names are scarce these days. And besides, Gothenburg, Sweden foursome Honeymoon Disease play heavy rock that's not only ferocious in a Sir Lord Baltimore-meets-MC5 way, but is awfully, erm, infectious to boot.

So listen to this record. It leaves a much different, infinitely more pleasant burning sensation than the band name implies. Apologies for taking the piss; I'll show myself out.

The Transcendence will be released on 20 November. Pre-order it here.

"If we tried to start A&M in today's environment, we'd have no chance. I don't know if I'd get a start as a trumpet player. But I keep doing this because I'm having fun."
