Hound - "Cold Blooded" (audio) (premiere)

Nothing'll clear the fog of a November morning like some good, rampaging proto-metal.

Philadelphia power trio Hound will be releasing their new album Out of Space on 27 November (pre-order it here) but you can get a sneak peek below with the rampaging heavy rocker "Cold Blooded", on which the boys get a good little Uriah Heep groove on.

"'Cold Blooded' is a song about the somewhat simple idea of being told how to live your life by everyone around you and overcoming that and figuring stuff out on your own despite people trying to bring you down," says singer/guitarist Perry Shall. "Also, I love the organ on this track."

The Cigarette: A Political History (By the Book)

Sarah Milov's The Cigarette restores politics to its rightful place in the tale of tobacco's rise and fall, illustrating America's continuing battles over corporate influence, individual responsibility, collective choice, and the scope of governmental power.
