Jenny & Tyler - "Song For You" (audio) (premiere)

If they play their cards right, this folk/pop duo could achieve crossover success.

With a similar vocal chemistry to Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová but also a real knack for the dynamic bombast of Coldplay, husband and wife duo Jenny and Tyler Somers hit the ground running on their new track "Song For You", which is from their new album Of This I'm Sure, which comes out 16 October. Considering the way the slickly produced track fits neatly into both pop and mainstream country, the crossover potential for the Nashville-based duo is there.

"'Song For You' is meant to illustrate the beauty of an unyielding, unselfish and unrequited love," they tell PopMatters. "It’s about a lover pursuing his beloved, giving anything to get her back, even if she’s indifferent or walking away. There is heartache in the song but also hope for a beautiful restoration and happy ending."
