Taking cues from the Doobie Brothers as well as indie contemporaries, Matt Surfin' is an artist whose homework has clearly been done, leaving only application on a well-lit stage overlooking a wide dance floor.

The band's self-titled album is out 17 May via Community/Muscle Beach.
