Motel Beds – “Mind Glitter” (video) (premiere)

Coming off an insanely prolific period that saw them release five albums between 2009 and 2012, followed by a 2014 compilation, Dayton, Ohio garage rockers the Motel Beds are set to release their latest full-length Mind Glitter on 23 October. In advance of the release they’ve put together a fantastic little video for the title track, which consists nothnig more of clips from classic fast food commercials from the ’70s and ’80s. You’ll either be disgusted, or drooling, or both.

“This is Mind Glitter, the title track to our ninth (I think?) release,” says bassist Tod Weidner. “This album, as a whole, is kind of a refinement of the ‘mid-fi’ sound we’ve been dealing in over the years, with slightly more psychedelic ear candy added to the mix. That said, this song is our attempt at capturing a straight up 1972 vibe. Bring your own platform soles.”
