Hardcore Henry gives us a chance to consider not how well a video game translates to film, but how well a video game point of view translates to film.
Hardcore Henry's forward moving ferocity doesn't allow its viewer or Henry time to think on why its action and violence might or might not be justifiable.
I don't have a problem if you want to play Grand Theft Auto from a first person perspective. Knock yourself out. But I won't be doing so anytime soon.
