The Greatest Hoax - 'Enso' (album stream) (premiere)

Composer Taylor Jordan creates a spellbinding mix of ambient and classical music on his latest album.

By day Taylor Jordan is a climate scientist in Washington, DC, but it won't be long before he's best known for his ambient music project the Greatest Hoax, whose new album Enso is out today and can be heard in its entirety below.

Ambient, electronic, and neoclassical music all intertwine gracefully on the record, its minimalist arrangements highlighted by Jordan's tasteful yet highly emotive piano and keyboard work. The freedom of electronic music opens up the normally rigid classical side, and the end result is a piece of work that's engrossing and rather transcendent. Give it a listen.
