After realizing that it was impossible to major in Pop Culture Studies at Syracuse University, Andrew had to settle for a degree in history. It was seeing the video for "Californication" for the first time as a nine year old that opened his eyes to music. He knew that the song meant something, he just didn't know what; after all what nine year old knows what fornication means? Currently he writes for his own blog, nowherebutpop.com, a website devoted to all things pop culture, and hopes that writing for PopMatters will lead to even bigger and better opportunities.
