Victories at Sea - 'Everything Forever' (album stream) (premiere)

The Birmingham band bridges post-punk and dance on their energetic debut album.

Citing such influences as Mogwai, Factory Floor, and the Chameleons, Birmingham, England band Victories at Sea create a superb hybrid of post-punk, dance, and pop on their edgy yet vibrant debut album Everything Forever. It comes out today on Static Caravan Recordings, but even better, can be heard in its entirety below.

"This is our debut album Everything Forever," the band tells PopMatters, "a soundtrack to the calamity of chaos and the calm above the storm, made in the city of Birmingham UK, our paradise, moulding us into the band we are today it’s our statement of hope, our foray of pop, sonically and emotionally, and something we proudly release."
