Gets Over You as an album positively brimming with confident energy. Not only does it feature the Right Now at the absolute top of their game, turning out one classic revamp after another, it establishes them as a legitimate force to be reckoned with. Early press for the band has been rapturous and its incredibly easy to see why, as this is genuinely great music that feels comfortable alongside today’s greats while effectively channeling the past. Gets Over You is the Right Now’s second LP and it indicates that they’re not slowing down anytime soon. It’ll be fascinating to see how they follow up Gets Over You but for now, they’ve put out a record that’s absurdly enjoyable and should speak to a relatively large audience. One can only hope that the audience responds and embraces as enthusiastically as they should.
