Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Alexander Lynch is set to release his debut recording, Love Lives EP this month. Utilizing haunting space and texture to offset his emotive, melancholic crooning, Lynch wraps his vocals in a darkly cinematic sheen of electronics heavily indebted to the sound and feel of contemporary downtempo R&B. Earlier this year Lynch released the mesmeric “Missing Me” and ethereal “Snow White”, both of which appear on Love Lies.
“It took us about a year to make this record,” say Lynch. “It represents the last two years of my life personally. It’s an album of reflection and regret. But the process of writing and producing this EP is what made it the best and most challenging time as an artist I’ve had.”
